Oh Hickville...how I miss thee. I used to live in Hickville and saw random (enter animal here) crossing the road all the time. Though, I have to admit that getting stuck behind tractors had to be the BEST (and most acceptable) excuse on why I was late to school.

We live out in the boonies, too. I grew up in L.A., so living in the country was really an adventure in the beginning. We had a barn, so I got this great idea to get some chickens. They're not hard to keep, fortunately. However, for some reason, the chickens decided they liked the farm across the street better...so...every morning my chickens were crossing the road, and every evening they were crossing the road again. My sister just about wrecked her car when I was talking to her on her cell phone (she's a city girl in L.A.) and I told her, "I've got to go...the chickens are crossing the road and I've got to lure them to the other side."
