Between a very busy time at work and school starting again (second to last semester!) and a couple of very sick kids (you don't want the Exorcist-esque vomit details, trust me), it was all very Shirley up in here for a while:

Things are starting to return to normal, which means I'm now procrastinating by mulling over some artwork for the house -- and am currently loving Lisa Rodden's cut paper works:
I bet I could totally DIY something like that. Maybe not the crane or the koi, but the chrysanthemum for sure. "Anal retentive" and "super steady hands" are both right up in my wheelhouse.
Hands up, everyone who is going to mock me a few weeks from now when I'm cranky and riddled with papercuts!
I will totally mock you, because I'd be right there by you. Those things are awesome! I bet you could do the crane or the koi if you took the time to draw them out first.
