Notes of the day

It will come as no surprise to regular readers that I wish I could plan a trip to the States solely to run this 5k Obstacle Course Zombie Race. The fact that I would pass out in a gasping heap before I even reached 1k is irrelevant.

I really really really want to make this Sour Cream-Chocolate Cake with Peanut Butter Frosting and Chocolate-Peanut Butter Glaze. This does not bode well for my diet.

You know the best thing about Duplo? Parents get to play with it too. We got the Pirates a huge box of it for Christmas and I think Ben and I are enjoying it even more than they are...

The local Elvis Festival is in full swing - I'm heading into town tomorrow with my camera to try to photograph some of the more entertaining street performers. And of course, Ben's Elvis debut is scheduled to take place on Saturday morning, so stay tuned for what will doubtlessly be the cheesiest interpretation of The King that you've ever seen.
