Back to school...again?

You might remember me posting back in October about my acceptance into a graduate program for Library Science - so what am I doing posting again?

When I did my initial research for the degree, I somehow missed that Curtin had a similar program to Charles Sturt...not only similar, but better. OK, perhaps I shouldn't say "better" since library/information management courses tend to differ a fair amount depending on where you attend - this one is simply more well suited to my needs. Curtin's classes are more applicable to the career path I'd like to pursue, and their attendance requirements are more flexible; both degrees are completed via distance education, but CSU requires a couple trips that I'd need to shell out for (taking time off work, travel expenses, etc.) while Curtin offers a program that can be 100% external if you prefer. Which I do.

I applied back in December, and have been anxiously awaiting the verdict for the last month - classes at both universities start on February 23, so time was starting to run out. Today, the verdict arrived:

Now THAT is a good start to the weekend!

  3. Hi Lisa, this is knottie deedertot. Just wanted to say congrats! What path are you wanting to take with library/information management? I take my test at the end of this month in order to get accepted to library school here. Then my classes will start in August. Oh and I attended Curtin Uni in Perth when I studied abroad! Good thing you can do the distance education course. That would be a long commute. :)
