Anyhoo, this year we decided that we'd at least make the effort to stay up until the calendar turned. Ben passed the time by playing Fable II on his new Xbox 360 (that little purchase won me the Best Wife Ever Award this Christmas); meanwhile, I sat bleary-eyed on the couch, sipping chamomile tea (yes really) and waiting for midnight to roll around. I'm proud to say we made it, and it's officially 2009! But that means that now I have to come up with some New Year's resolutions. Eeek.

To be quite honest, I really don't know what I'd put on the list. I could do the old "weight loss" standby, but most of the time that ends up looking like this:

You see, although 2008 started off a bit bumpy, it turned into a pretty good year, and there aren't many things I'd change in 2009. After all, last year, I:
- changed careers
- tried a new look
- read plenty of good books (errr...I read them, but just didn't blog about many of them, honest!)
- expanded our family
- saw a disturbing number of horrifying spider photos (well...maybe this isn't a positive)
- oh, and we found time to get married

You and me both, Calvin.
I think 2009 is going to be a very satisfying year.
