Sock Dreams

Anyone who has ever spent a significant amount of time with me (or, at the very least, one very cold winter day) knows that I have a sock fetish. That's right. Socks.

For someone with perpetually cold feet, socks are like little knitted pieces of heaven. They're cozy, cute, and most importantly, keep out the big bad cold. They also keep my frigid feet from sticking to Ben's legs (à la your tongue on a frozen flagpole) when I sneak up on him in the middle of the night. Of course his screams then wake the neighbors and set dogs howling, which doesn't leave any of us happy - so imagine the nirvana I tumbled into when I discovered the fabulous Sock Dreams website.

Oh. My. Gawd.

They have every sock you could ever want. Everything! However, my frozen winter heart belongs to these bad boys:

The Thigh High sock. Just when I thought there was no way technology or fashion could possiby make any further improvements to the sock (which I'm sure many of you also believed had already reached it's zenith), they made it longer. How have I never found these before? How have I gone all my life without them? Do you know how warm my feet would be in these? Do you?!?!

They come in stripes!

They come in houndstooth and argyle!

They come in piratey prints!

Even weensie cutsie baby socks!

(And no, those aren't a hint. Chez Lisa is planning on staying vacant for a while yet, thanks.)

But I think these deliciously textured bad boys are the winners - don't those chunky knits look WARM?

And you know what's really awesome? There are only 141 shopping days left until Christmas!

Hint, hint.
